WebSphere AS Administration - Resources
This course is an add-on to the 'WebSphere Application Server Administration' course. The focus of this course is the installation, configuration and maintenance of resources and connectors in the WebSphere Application Server environment. During the course J2EE specifications are discussed, WebSphere implementation is explained and configuration in the WebSphere Application Server environment is performed.
The course is based on the J2EE platform and the WebSphere Application Server Advanced Edition implementation. The WebSphere Enterprise will only be discussed as far as connectors and messaging is concerned.
This course is available for one-company, on-site presentations.

- describe the different types of resource in WebSphere
- handle configuration and maintenance of the WebSphere Application Server resources
- explain what WebSphere Application Server Enterprise adds to resource functionality

Webmasters and system administrators who are going to install, configure and maintain Web-based applications on a WebSphere Application Server platform. This course is also suitable for developers who want to test thoroughly for a WebSphere Application Server roll out.
Prerequisites
Participants should have attended the course WebSphere Application Server Administration. A good working knowledge of basic administrative tasks in the administrative console of the Advanced Edition Server is required. A good understanding of the Internet platform (Mail, Web, URL, ...) as well as a basic knowledge of messaging systems is indispensable. Basic knowledge of one or more Enterprise Information Systems components (CICS, IMS ...) is an advantage.
