WAS Administration: Connectors, ESB & SOA
This course is an add-on to the WebSphere Application Server V6.0 administration course. The general aim of this course is the installation, configuration and maintenance of resources and connectors in the WebSphere Application Server environment. During the course J2EE specifications are discussed, the WebSphere V6.0 implementation is explained and the configuration in the WebSphere Application Server environment is performed.
This course is available for one-company, on-site presentations.

- describe the different types of resource in WAS V6.0
- handle configuration and maintenance of the WAS resources
- explain Connector, Connection Factory, Connector Framework and application integration
- describe the role of the Application Server as part of the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) architecture.

Webmasters and system administrators who are going to install, configure and maintain Web-based applications on a WebSphere Application Server platform. This course is also suitable for developers who want to test thoroughly for a WebSphere Application Server roll out.
Prerequisites
Participants should have followed the course WebSphere Application Server V6.0 administration. A good working knowledge of basic administrative tasks in the administrative console of the Advanced Edition Server is required. A good understanding of the Internet platform (Mail, Web, URL, ...) as well as a basic knowledge of messaging systems is essential. Basic knowledge of one or more Enterprise Information Systems components (CICS, IMS ...) is an advantage.
